Every stablecoin is quoted against both USDC and USDT, taking the median across three depth tiers, once every five seconds. A yellow alert needs six consecutive polls off peg; a red alert needs two consecutive polls in severe deviation. Requiring persistence is what keeps a single bad quote from becoming a false alarm.
